Nothing says “I love you” more than cold beer and kick-ass live music, and that’s exactly what Norman has to offer this Valentine’s Day weekend. If you haven’t bought your tickets for the Stupid Cupid Pub Crawl, you’re already behind in joining one of the area’s most favored events of the month.
This Friday night, The Norman Music Festival, Norman Arts Council, The Opolis and local pubs will join forces in supporting the 2015 Norman Music Festival. For only $10 per ticket, you can be a part of the efforts by attending the pub crawl, sponsored by the Brewhouse, Bison Witches, The Garage, Red Brick Bar, and The Bluebonnet Bar. Your ticket will also get you a free t-shirt and an invite to the Opolis after party, where Beau Jennings will kick off his release of The Verdigris--an album that was written in tribute to the legendary Will Rogers. The show is a part of the Norman Arts Council Concert Series, and the lovely Sherree Chamberlain and Samantha Crain will be joining Jennings, along with Tyson Meade and other guest artists.
The Stupid Cupid Pub Crawl is in its third year and is in conjunction with not only the Concert Series, but also the 2nd Friday Art Walk. Over six blocks of business owners participate in the Art Walk by opening their doors to artists and patrons alike. Bree Montoya, NMF Board Member, says, “The 2nd Friday Art Walk has grown every single month…more and more businesses are reaching out to artists in the community and inviting them into their establishments.” You can find food, street music, and artists of every medium up and down the streets of Norman--the Art Walk, Pub Crawl and CD Release Show come together offering an experience you won’t want to miss!
