"The response has left me pretty speechless,” said Kerby. “The kind words and genuine support from all over OK and the US has been more than I could have ever expected. It's left me humbled and inspired."
Kerby will headline the November 4th “Edgemere Under the Stars” event that will take place at the Crown Jewel Amphitheater, 3700 N. Walker. Local band, Aluma, will be also performing earlier in the evening, along with a special guest appearance from “Light the Future” Choir—a youthful, upbeat music group from Maisha, Africa. Food trucks will be available and Belle Isle Brewery will serve as the main beer vendor.
Cellar Door Music Group, 79th Street Sound Stage, First Christian Church and Visi Health are all sponsors of the event, which will run from 5:30-8:30p rain or shine. The Crown Jewel Amphitheater was recently restored to host the outdoor monthly music series and other shows, but in the case of disruptive weather conditions, scheduled performances can be held indoors under the First Christian Church’s white dome.
