HUMAN TRAFFICKING IS MODERN-DAY SLAVERY: Human trafficking fuels the growth of organized crime, undermining health, safety, security, and the basic needs of humanity. It is the fastest growing crime in the world.
The Walk for Freedom helps raise awareness and money that supports the fight against human trafficking. Click here to register for the walk and to gain more information on A21. Check-in and same day registration begins at 9:30pm on October 15th, it is helpful to register online in advance. Walk participants are encouraged to wear an A21 t-shirt, or a plain black shirt, and walk in single file silently through the route.
Oklahoma City has a fundraising page set up for walk participants, click here to support the A21 cause.
As we understand the formality of the walk isn't the best fit for families and small children, the music benefit is open to the public and will begin at 10:30a as the walk gets underway. Local music artists will be performing in Regatta Park and creative vendors and food trucks will be in attendance. This is a great way to support the cause in a social setting and learn even more about how we can create awareness in our own city.
Regatta Park is located at 701 S. Lincoln Blvd. on the west side of Oklahoma City's Boathouse District; parking lots are located around the area.
